From “barely able to trot” to galloping around the Buffel paddock

My mare has been on BREAK FREE for the past six weeks. After one week she went from “barely able to trot” to galloping around the Buffel paddock, happy and healthy.

Two weeks on I decided to ride her and was amazed at the response she had from BREAK FREE. Four weeks later I entered her in a draft where she made the final.

I also have a gelding that has always been highly strung - even shied at his own shadow. Now he is one of my quieter horses and is much happier.

We now have all eight of our working and campdraft horses on BREAK FREE.

Jack's mare had been suffering the classic mobility issues of oxalate poisoning. Although "Big Head" is the extreme end game of this problem, shifting lameness, short stepping gait and difficult behaviour are the much more common earlier signs.
The traditional view is that oxalates cause calcium deficiency. We don't agree. If that theory was right the soft tissues would be fine as the bones are being sacrificed to maintain normal blood and body fluid calcium levels. Despite normal blood tests these mobility signs are common. To read about our alternative theories click here:

There are three products in our BREAK FREE range:

BREAK FREE - primarily chelated calcium and a few other bits for the functioning of cells all over the body. Improved mobility, bone, soft tissues and behaviour.

BREAK FREE Elite - as above but with a comprehensive vitamin, mineral and amino acid package that means you can reduce or even eliminate formulated feeds. Elite also includes a powerful joint and soft tissue "mobility package" making ideal for hard working competition horses or older animals who need extra support. This multi-ingredient supplement is excellent value compared to buying a number of different products and was developed by us at the request of Steve and Louise Comiskey.

BREAK FREE Essentials Lick - the lick form with both BREAK FREE and the vitamin, mineral amino acid balancer. Ideal for working horses and others that are not being fed/handled daily. The Comiskeys use it for their mares and foals.
