Cool, Calm & Collected is a supplement designed for horses who are unfocused, anxious, nervous, high strung, stressed or spooky to cope with stress. It is ideal for horses that are hacking, schooling or in competition situations that they find particularly stressful. It has been successfully used from recreational horses to the Olympic games (one medal of each colour so far). From race horses through jumpers, dressage, eventing, endurance, carriage driving and western.

Cool, Calm & Collected works in a completely different way to other calmers. Instead of sedating as magnesium and many herbs do, CCC seems to facilitate excellent brain function. When a horse's brain is working as nature intended it can easily tell that flapping leaves, flying birds and other horses are not a threat. Freed from the anxiety of poor brain function horses are able to focus on their work, concentrate and learn better. Relaxed horses lead to relaxed riders who have far more fun.

CCC works best when artificial magnesium sources are reduced or eliminated. For advice on creating diets without added magnesium (they will still easily satisfy the magnesium needs of the horse) click here.

There are a growing number of Australian suppliers claiming to use chelated calcium - especially in the areas where there are a lot of oxalate pastures. Please do not be misled. So far all of them have respected our Australian patent (2010224615) whilst simultaneously implying in their advertising and social media posts that they use "large quantities" of chelated calcium. They do not. For more information click here.

For more information about how we believe chelated calcium works in oxalate areas click here. If you live in one of those areas we recommend you buy BREAK FREE. It is identical to CCC but the instructions for oxalates are slightly different.

THIS PRODUCT MUST BE LOADED. There is a one month loading period (5 days a week) using the loading quantities. Until the loading period is complete the benefits will be quite short lived.

After a month on the loading rate, drop down to the maintenance rate, (still feeding the supplement 5 days a week).

If poor behaviour returns increase quantity or contact us for advice on other variations of this product that may suit your horse better.

    Improves Focus

Posted by Carly Toogood on 27th Jun 2018

I enquired about Equifeast Cool, Calm and Collected as I was having some 'attention' issues with my 15 year old advanced dressage horse. A new arrival to the yard, had unsettled him, and he was finding it difficult to concentrate, being distracted and he was very on edge. This behaviour was whilst ridden and also on the ground. I was also experiencing a few issues when out competiting, he felt very tense, and was very spooky when I rode away from the warm up and he left the security of the other horses. This was bringing our scores down, and I knew that the horse in the arena was not the horse that I was riding in the warm up, so I needed to find something to focus him on me and listen to my aids, so that we could ride the test that I knew he was capable of. After an analysis of his feed, we established that he was on the maximum amount of magnesium through his feed, so a magnesium based calmer would have no effect, possibly having the opposite effect. I purchased the started pack of Cool, Calm and Collected and started him on it the very next day. He has been on it for 4 weeks now, and the improvement in his ridden work is amazing. He now listens to me without being distracted, and is 110% totally focussed on what we are doing, I have his full attention and for 30 mins or so, we are in our little bubble schooling and nothing can interupt!! Its fantastic!! We have had a little break from competing, whilst I started the Cool, Calm and Collected and allowed it the chance to get into his system, but I am now looking at dates and really looking forward to getting out and scoring the percentages that I know we are capable of

    So Impressed

Posted by Jo on 27th Jun 2018

This product has completely changed my mare from a snorting monster who was becoming unrideable because of her tantrums and tendency to run off into a calm, pleasant horse to both handle and ride. Previously her behaviour was so unpredictable and inconsistent it was impossible for us to progress. We have now completed the loading period and she constantly puts a smile on my face and has done from week 2!! I've tried countless other calmers and supplements previously, but I'm sticking with this one. Excellent support and advice during the loading period and beyond too

The only calmer I will ever use

    Posted by H.R.C on 27th Jun 2018

Equifeast's CCC is honestly the best calming product on the market. I have tried many other magnesium and herbal based calmers in the past and have seen little to no change In my horse's behaviour. Having owned my horse from a goal, I've known since a young age he was going to be hot to ride. However, 2-3 weeks on the CCC starter pack and my horse is accepting of work and his attitude has completely changed from a stroppy, sometimes arrogant 6yo into a far more affectionate, compliant and considerate horse. Not only that, the service I received from the staff at the equifeast help centre was second to none - check-backs and update emails, texts and phone calls whenever needed. I can assure that I won't work him without it from now - brill stuff. 10/10

    Good product

Definitely helps my pony, he has a slightly larger dose to keep his head intact, but he definitely does concentrate more now.

    Magical Transformation!!

Posted by Nikki Nicholls on 27th Jun 2018

My mare before feeding equifeast was sharp, inattentive, struggled to focus, fiery, argumentative, stubborn 5 year KWPN. She used to rear vertically with absolutely no warning as a tantrum if she was frustrated with something, there was absolutely no negotiating with her, she was going out competing and would score well but would always have tense, or struggles to relax ect After my instructor recommended equifeast, I got in touch and cannot say how impressed I was with the service. They were really friendly and pointed me towards the right product they thought would work for us which was cool, calm and collected. Effie has now been on it for about 4 weeks and I can honestly say what a transformation, we are now able to negotiate, I can ask her to do things without a tantrum and she is on the whole so much more relaxed and focused! We have a test booked in at the end of the month and am hopeful that the tense and relax comments will be a thing of the past! Thank you equifeast!!

    What a difference!!

Posted by Hannah Morter on 27th Jun 2018

Wow! My boy had his first dose of cool calm and collected today, usually he would be tense, lots of tail swishing, his frame would become very tight and his steps very short, dressage judges would always comment "very tense", "needs to relax" etc, so thought I'd give CCC a go and wow! I can already see an improvement! This evening he was much softer, supple and attentive and generally more focused on me and what I was asking of him. I know it's early days, but if this first day is anything to go by, we'll be dressage divas in no time!!

    Promising Start

Posted by Ros Dobson on 27th Jun 2018

4 weeks in and thankfully I'm dealing with a calmer horse, important while I'm on crutches! Hopefully he'll start rehab this weekend and that will give me a better idea of how well CC&C is working, so long as I don't run out, must reorder today.

    My boy is back!

Posted by Paula on 27th Jun 2018

my 22yr old has gone from a spooky, rearing, bucking bombscare to being the most wonderful chilled lad! Still looking but doesn't panic and doesn't react nearly as badly! Has settled him down without dulling his sparkle or taking the fun out of him....I just don't fear for my life as much now! X
